What are the side effects of ibuprofen used in babies for fever?

Stomach irritation: We usually recommend waiting until about 6 months before starting to use Ibuprofen for babies for fever or pain. It can cause irritation of the stomach, and in rare cases it can interfere with platelet function. Always ask a doctor for the correct dose. Dose should be based on the baby's weight , not age.
