Yes: Most women with fibroids do not need any treatment. If they are causing problems, they can be removed surgically by either laparoscopic or hysteroscopic methods. Other options include uterine artery embolization (plugging the blood vessel feeding the fibroid tumor) to shrink them and hysterectomy. There are other methods to shrink them including microwave and ultrasound.

Yes: There are many good treatments for fibroids. These range from medications to surgery. My personal favorite is the uterine fibroid embolization procedure.
