Gain weight with age: It's common for people to gain weight as they age. Metabolism slows and we don't require as much food, but most people eat just as much as they did when younger and may not be as active. People can often maintain their weight if they become more active and burn more calories. If a person is overweight, then cutting back on calories is usually necessary.
