Toe inflammation around nail. is that urgent?

Needs attention: Usually inflammation around the nail is suggestive of an infection. Home therapy consists of hot, soapy water soaks, 15-20 min, with massaging of the skin around the nail. If there is drainage, then an antibiotic and a band aid. If it persists, see your podiatrist. The nail may be ingrown and require attention. Don't put off treatment. Dr l.
