A member asked:

Someone said something about taking os-cal at breakfast would that work for osteoporosis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Oscal is best taken in at least two dosages one in the am and one in the pm with meals. Remember calcium is only part of the treatment for osteoporosis. For example vitamnid, weight bearing exercise, and possible meds such as Fosamax or Actonel (risedronate) and other may be needed.
