Medical Clearance: Shouod be done for any significant surgical procedure, no matter how young or healthy you or the surgeon think you are. This should be done with the primary care physician who knows you the best. Too many times in my practice, i get a call when the patient is already at the ambulatory surgical suite, or operating area about a problem. I now say cancel surgery. Always let your pcp know first.
