Stretching: The tremendous forces that go through the shoulder during pitching easily results in tightening of the shoulder lining (capsule). This tightening can result in permanent tears when pitching through the pain. Stretching the posterior capsule with routine shoulder internal rotation stretches can easily prevent this awful season-ending injury.
