Yes: Stimulants push out norepinephrine & serotonin and have an initial antidepressant effect. When stopped there are fewer neurotransmitters available which frequently results in depression.

See below: You should not have depressive symptoms with the cessation of the medication. Stimulants are not antidepressants.
