Bone Surgeon: An orthopedist or orthopedic surgeon manages and operates on conditions associated with bones. This would include bone fractures, as well as the associated joints. They can be further specialized into back surgeons, total joint surgeons, hand surgeons, foot and ankle surgeons, etc.

Orthopedist: Another name for your orthopedic surgeon. He/she will examine and treat you for conditions that involve bones, joints, muscles, tendons, nerves, and ligaments.
