Not Necessarily.: Orthopedic surgeons, like all other types of surgeons, see patients in consultation. Some of the patients seen can be helped with advice or nonsurgical intervention. On the other hand, some patients seen by orthopedic surgeons may benefit from surgical intervention. Hope this helps.
