A member asked:

My son is 12 years 5 mos. with a bone age of 15 1/12. a year ago, his bone age was 13. doctor predicted height at 5'10-6'1. now he says 5'7. hgh?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

May be normal: A pediatrician or primary doctor follows a child's growth every year, and maybe every 4-6 months in unusual cases. A height of 5' 7" is perfectly fine for a male! the quick rise in the bone age suggests he was an early bloomer and will be and early stopper, but probably will increase slightly more (but that does not matter at 5' 7"). This pattern may be familial and appear in other male relatives.
