See below: When we are using optimal posture, we allow our muscles, bones, ligaments and even organs to work optimally. Muscles are meant to have an optimal length at which they work most efficiently. When they are overstretched or shortened by poor posture, they do not work efficiently and pain often results. When the joints are not in good position, excessive pressures result which cause wear and tear.
