Netherton's syndrome: Netherton syndrome is a rare inherited disorder that presents with the three following characteristics: ■ ichthyosiform erythroderma – inflamed, red, scaly skin ■ trichorrhexis invaginata (“bamboo hair”) – short, brittle, lustreless hair ■ atopic diathesis – predisposition to allergy problems.
