No: Throat pain is not sign of cancer ,is tonsillitis ,you should see your doctor for evaluation ,throat culture,and if culture positive for beta strep you need treatment with antibiotic.

Sore throat=CA?: Smoking and drinking do increase the chance of developing throat/tonsil CA. HPV can also be linked with CA in this area. Usually it would occur at a later age, 20 is very young. The most common cause would be sinus drainage or a viral infection. If it hasn't gotten better in two weeks see your doctor
