For about 3 months ive been having a sore throat that comes and goes only on the left side. its not super persistent, as it does not hurt every time i swallow but more so if i open up my throat. i cant help but think its cancer, am only 23?

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. Cancer is highly unlikely, however, three months is a long time for a sore throat. It would be prudent to see a doctor, preferably an ENT doctor. Wish you good health!
