What is prognosis like for a liver met of 16 mm and a 10 mm aortocaval node ?i just wanted an approx in terms of months/ years?

Type of cancer?: The prognosis depends on many factors, in particular, the nature of the original tumor, whether it can be treated with chemotherapy, if there are other lesions besides these, growth rate (degree of differentiation). The size of the liver metastasis is not a concern per se, the lymph node itself will not cause problems, it is a marker of some of the factors mentioned above. See an oncologist.

Have you taken chemo: The prognosis will depend on your tumor's response to chemotherapy. There are several chemo drugs and biologic(targeted) drugs which can help to control the disease. Give us details about your chemo treatments used so far and if there has been some/any response. This is stage -4 disease which can be treated with the above drugs and many patients live for several years especially if the chemo works
