A member asked:

I just had 3 root canals (on clindamycin). will it hurt to take my rescue inhaler for an asthma attack? can the clindamycin be causing the attack? :(

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: Taking clindamycin for the infection following your root canal treatment prevents pain and prevents post-op complications. Unless you have an allergy to this medication, it should be continued. The asthma attack is more likely triggered by the trama of the dental procedure. Use of your inhaler is permitted. If you have any concerns, please call your physician.
