Probably: if you have taken a single unisom pill before and are now not getting effective results than using two of them should be acceptable for you

A 49-year-old member asked:
Could it be harmful to take 2 unisom pills?

Why do it?: The dose of unisom is 1 pill 30 minutes before bed. Why do you want to double it? You'd be more likely to have dry mouth, constipation, urinary retention, etc (all side effects of the medication) if taking more than the usual dose. If this over-the-counter med is not helping you, you need to have your sleep issue evaluated. Best wishes.

A 23-year-old male asked:
Is it alright to take two unisom pills?

Sleeping pills: Unisom should not be taking more than recommended as it may cause CNS depression, which may impair physical and mental activities. Not to exceed 2 weeks of use. I would not recommend taking 2 tablets. Follow sleep hygiene protocols and avoid caffeine and nicotine. Please make an appointment for consult to provide more information. Thank you and I hope that was helpful.
