A member asked:

Doctor found fluid in my ear and i'm taking ear drops. the ear drops are making my ear hurt. any help would be appreciated.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Needs eval.: If they are numbing drops they may hurt in outer ear infection. If it is otitis media--middle ear, it should not hurt unless you have a perforation. It should be seen if the pain persists. Wax can contribute to discomfort too, so can canal irritation.
