I have a flight in a couple weeks. i feel tingly, i can't breathe well or sleep. i have a fear of flying, is this anxiety?

Dr. Johanna Fricke answered

Specializes in Pediatrics - Developmental and Behavioral

A Specific Phobia : is an anxiety disorder treated by long-term exposure therapy & other therapies deemed necessary from evaluations by a psychiatrist & psychologist. Since your flight is soon, you may need an anti-anxiety medication like Xanax, (alprazolam) prescribed by a psychiatrist. If you can't be seen by one before your trip, talk to your doctor about short- & long-term treatments. Try any/all medication(s) before you fly
