Blood patch/malaise: Could be infection and steroids could suppress fever, Would call doctor or go to ER to be evaluated.Alternatively the irritated meninges could be causing malaise. May want to do a MRI to rule out epidural abscess or discitis. Be particularly vigilant about extremity weakness, headache, bowel or bladder dysfunction, confusion, those are medical emergencies and go to ER immediately

Do get checked: Post-epidural blood patch meningeal irritation, to my knowledge, resolves in 24-48 hours. Your duration of 5 weeks suggests another cause for the problem. So be sure to keep your specialist appointments, follow the treatment plan, and report any changes that you see immediately. Hope that helps.
