Being pregnant or...: Being pregnant or not pregnant can both be associated with flu-like symptoms. That means pregnant women and non-pregnant women can both catch a flu-like illness, which of course suggests that having flu-like symptoms is not related to pregnancy. A woman should contact her primary care doctor to discuss her flu-like symptoms (means different things to different people) and ask if an exam is needed.
