Time Frame ?: How long ago was the root canal completed? A day, a month, or a year? Infections do not clear up instantly, especially if they were there for a long time. It's best to have the dentist reevaluate the tooth.

Call your dentist!: I'm not sure if "after" means today, yesterday, a week ago or longer? Call your dentist to discuss this issue.

Not normal: Sometimes even after a root canal, the infection continues to grow. See your dentist for follow up appointment x-ray and treatment options.
