What is the probability that my baby lungs to be mature on an amnio at 37w5d?

Over 90%: The probability is high but not 100%. Babies induced before 39 weeks without a mature tap have more problems then babies induced with a mature tap so it is good to do the amnio.

Lung maturity: The probability is high that the lungs will be mature at almost 38 weeks, especially if it is a girl baby.

Doesn't matter.: Elective delivery should be discouraged prior to 39 weeks gestation regardless of lung maturity tests. Babies born electively (with no other medical indication) prior to 39 weeks have higher risks of respiratory distress and nicu admission even when the amnio test demonstrates "lung maturity." if there is a medical reason for delivery, the amnio is unnecessary.
