Usuallly resolves: Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is chronic lung disease in preterm infants that occurs following mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy for acute respiratory distress after birth.BPD frequently complicated by pulmonary hypertension (PH). PH resolved in majority of infants, PH in small % of infants can be fatal. Regular screening for PH and adequate management required.
