Benign hamartoma: angiomyilipoma is a benign hamartoma usually occurring in the kidney (but rarely in the liver). There is no malignant potential. They usually contain macroscopic fat which allows for a specific radiologic diagnosis. They can spontaneously bleed and some urologists will prophylactically remove them when they are large. For the most part, they cause no problems.
