Burbing?: I've been to Astoria Queens. I recall feeling panic the entire time I was there. Sounds like your doctor is treating you for generalized anxiety disorder. If you get a feeling of flip flopping in your stomach followed by elevated heart rate and a sudden sense of panic and his approach does not eventually work , get an EEG. You may have "abdominal (autonomic) epilepsy" Look it up.
