It happens: The most important thing when you're stopping a ssri like Paxil (paroxetine) is to be slowly weaned off.

Stopping Paxil (paroxetine): Did you stop Paxil (paroxetine) suddenly, or taper it off? Do you still have the depression and anxiety, after stopping? If so, what arrangements have you made for treating that or getting help with it? Nausea can be a symptom of many things, including withdrawal from ssri's, and anxiety itself. Please talk with your physician about this -- and if additional evaluation/treatment is needed, you can get it.

? Discontinuation: Discontinuation symptoms for Paxil (paroxetine) can include anxious mood, nausea, dizziness, feeling lightheaded, poor sleep, nightmares; spinning sensation & electric "zaps". This is why it must be slowly tapered under your physician's supervision.
