Ovarian cyst: complex means either it has walls (septations) or has both cystic and solid components. At over 6 cm in size your cyst is at risk of causing twisting of the entire ovary causing torsion (cutting off the blood supply). Usually at 6cm it needs to be addressed likely surgically. Complex cysts also mean slightly more likely to be tumors (benign and cancerous) are usually complex or hemorrhagic
