Ovarian cysts: If a cyst is painful between 4-6 cm , you should check with ultrasound at GYN appt with MD. Sometimes, it can be removed if it is growing larger, but benign. They remove by laparoscope.

You should be seen: An enlarging cyst that is painful is in danger of rupturing with any injury, even sex. See the doc who prescribed the ultrasound and ask to have it removed. Tell them you are also worried about cancer (which it probably isn't with this many cysts, but the only way to prove it is to remove it). Also ask whether anything can be done to slow the growth of the cysts.
