No.: Omeprazole is the generic equivalent of Prilosec, the first oral acid-reducer agent of the proton pump inhibitor (ppi) class of drugs. Do you have particular concerns causing you to question its long-term or even short-term use? Liver enzymes came back elevated. I have a bad stomach bug. Ultra sound was fine. I take omeprazole daily. Do I have to stop until my enzymes are ok?
