URI: It sounds like you have an upper respiratory tract infection but it is hard to accurately diagnose you over the internet. Common causes are viral and bacterial.

Flu: At this time of year it sounds like you have the flu. If it is less than 48 hours flu medicine might help. However, the best course is rest, fluids and antipyretics.
