URI: The tender swelling sounds like a swollen lymph node. The other symptoms sound like a viral illness. How long have you had your symptoms? If only a few days then it is probably viral and i would treat it symptomatically with Acetaminophen or ibuprofen. I expect you will feel better over the next week.
