A member asked:

My heart dr said if i went up on midodrine to 10 mg in the morning and stay on 5 mg through the day it will slow my heart rate down is that true?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

In theory no.: Clearly, based on the number of meds you're taking for orthostatic hypotension, you have a fairly intractable condition. While midodrine exerts its effects by increasing the tone (constriction) of blood vessels, it doesn't THEORETICALLY increase heart rate. However, experience may tell your cardiologist otherwise, so please defer to her expertise.
