Why ?: It would be a wonderful world if kids were allowed to self soothe with no external condemnation. Certainly they are worth it. I like toddlers to have it available,clipped to their outfit (they don't use pockets) If a kid is walking around with a paci in his hands,I encourage mom to get a clear "prize" box for the kid to put it in. Kids can decide when they are nervous and need soothing, let it be.
