That can happen: The rule is not to lift toddlers and preschool kids by their hands, because one result can be a nursemaid's elbow. It occurs when a child's elbow is pulled and partially dislocates. The medical term is "radial head subluxation." If that's what happened here, then it either popped back into place, or somebody put it back into place. Doctor usually rechecks if not all normal in a day or so.
