A member asked:

My wife is getting chills with no fever. she went to urgent care and was tested negative for flu. doctor have her tamiflu (oseltamivir) anyway. two days in a row?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Flu: just bc have chills doesn't necessarily mean we have the flu. if test came back negative, i don't think you need to treat with Tamiflu (oseltamivir). You can develop a resistance to it and next time if she had the flu and then needs it, you want it to work effectively.
