Generally speaking..: I would recommend a Board-certified Internal Medicine physician (but I guess I'm biased). Internal Medicine deals with all of the diseases of adults. Age-appropriate screens for a gentleman of 52 yrs would include: annual physical exam, cholesterol screening every 2 years, Tetanus booster every 10 yrs, flu shot yearly, and discussion about prostate checking as well as colon cancer screening.
