Is it safe to take metformin (for diabetes) with a diuretic (thiaxide, maxzide, (hydrocholorthiazide and triamterene) etc ) for blood pressure ?

With caution: Diuretics should be taken with caution as they can lead to lithium toxicity. Metformin is not a problem.
