Lower abdominal pain: Lower abdominal pain with bloating sounds most likely irritable bowel (IBS), blood in the stool is not a symptom of IBS unless there is associated constipation and hemorrhoids. There are medicines available to treat this condition. Talk to your doctor and also to rule out other conditions like inflammatory bowel disease.

See below: There are a number of different causes of abdominal pain. The red color could be blood. My best advice is to not to try to diagnose yourself and seek medical attention if the pain is persistent or increasing in severity. A patient education brochure on different causes of abdominal pain can be found here: bit.ly/10RdXop at the patient.col.uk website.
