Abnormal cells/Cervx: Hello, When we talk about dysplasia we are describing how much of the biopsy is abnormal. If the doctors are looking at the tissue from top to bottom and 1/3 or less is abnormal than we call this mild dysplasia or CIN I. If we are seeing 2/3 of the specimen under the microscope as abnormal then we are describing moderate dysplasia. Neither one of these is cancer and is easily treated.
