A member asked:

Is there a risk/danger in taking tenoretic (atenolol and chlorthalidone) with lariam (malaria prevention)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Mefloquine (lariam) and atenolol (tenoretic) interact with each other. Make sure that your doctor(s) know you are taking both medications as the Mefloquine increases the levels of atenolol. An easy place to find out whether medications interact with eachother is webmd (http://reference.Medscape.Com/drug-interactionchecker?Src=ppc_google&ef_id=cyrm41riaqaalpg:20101117051308:s).
