Is there a risk in taking lariam (malaria prevention)?

Probably: Mefloquine( Lariam ) may cause psychiatry disturbances( depression/anxiety) cardiac rythm abnormality etc...; however, the benefit of preventing malaria outweighs the risk of these possible side effects.
