No, but.....: There isn't a good alternative "natural" remedy, but there are many great alternatives to tenoretic (atenolol and chlorthalidone). Tenoretic (atenolol and chlorthalidone) contains chlorthalidone, which is a good BP med for most people. Tenoretic (atenolol and chlorthalidone) also contains atenolol which is a terrible BP med. It has numerous side effects including wt gain, depression, shortness of breath, increase blood sugar, ed and more. See your doctor for an rx alternative now.

Low Salt Diet: The best natural remedy for blood pressure control is getting to your ideal body weight and mainting a low salt diet (less than 2 grams daily). If these methods fails, then their are other pharmacological medications that have been tested safely to help with hbp.

Yes: There are many different agents available. It depends on the reason to change . Is it ineffective ? Are you not tolerating it? Your doctor can certainly suggest an alternative agent.

No: There are really no alternative natural remedies. However, weight loss, exercise, a diet low in sodium and high in potassium, smoking cessation can frequently decrease the need for medications.
