Bloody nose: Certainly the cold and nasal dryness can cause nasal bleeding. If the bleeding is severe and can't be stopped you should be seen right away. Otherwise nasal saline sprays are helpful in added moisture to your nose.

Mostly normal: I hope you caught your cat! During the winter when we run the heat, the air can get dry and so can the mucous membranes of the nose. Cold air is even more drying and, in combination with your increased respiratory rate and nasal blood flow, it could precipitate a nosebleed. Try putting a little vaseline on your pinky and apply it to the inside of your nose every day. That should help.
