St. John's Wort may: decrease effects of Alprazolam; may interact with 5-HTP (5-hydroxytryptophan) to increase risk of a rare but serious condition called serotonin syndrome; and may interact with some foods. These interactions may mimic anxiety/panic attacks. Consult prescriber regarding all medications and supplements to determine what is best for your situation. Best regards for good health and well-being.
