Teeth getting pulled. will halcion (triazolam) work for sedation?

Probably not: Halcion (triazolam) is a benzodiazepine, but it is designed and marketed for sleep. It is used for other purposes, but is not likely to provide the effect you want. Consult with your dentist about this.

Yes: Halcyon is a commonly used medication in many protocols for oral conscious sedation. It can be used in combination with other medications to produce the desired effect. It is not intended as a deep sedative, but can be used to control dental anxiety in all procedures. It causes relaxation and amnesia, so it can be effectively used for wisdom tooth removal.

Triazolam: There are dentists who have patients take Halcion in advance of dental procedures as oral concious sedation. I would not drive yourself to or from the oral surgeon or dentists office if you take Halcion as you could fall asleep while driving.
