Maybe: This should only be taken in consultation with your dentist and the dentist should have training in dealing with conscious sedation.

Dentists use it: Many dentist use Halcion (triazolam) or vallium as an aid for for dental procedures with patients who are afraid and have dental anxiety. As with any drug, each patient is different and health history must be carefully considered. Dentists may request health information and council from the patient's primary care physician. Sadly, fear causes many people to avoid necessary dental treatment. Halcion (triazolam) can help.

Carefully monitor: These drugs are not to be self administered. Tell your dentist if you've taken them on your own. When these meds are used, you must be monitored for oxygen saturation, respiration, pulse and other physical signs. This is true for any technique that alters consciousness, since your ability to obreathe on your own is impeded.
