A member asked:

Will triazolam be enough meds for me to have a tooth pulled without stress or pain?

Yes and No: Halcion (triazolam) is a short acting tranquilizer like valium. It will relax you but it will not relieve your pain. Your dentist will still need to use a local anesthetic. In addition you may need something post-operatively to relieve some pain that you may experience.

Maybe: Sedation is different for everyone, some people get sedated just fine on triazolam while some people need a combo of medications. Unfortunately there is no way to tell and it is basically trial and error. Your dentist will give you some and then see how you are doing and give you more if needed. Smokers and people on chronic pain meds are generally harder to sedate.
