Basic biology: The vast majority of your cholesterol is made in your body, rather than coming in from what you eat. People like to criticize other people's food choices, but diet is only a tiny portion of vascular health. I'd rather see you exercising and eating what's comfortable and sensible for you, and adding a statin if you need it.
